In the name of learning to make better and prettier websites, I'm fooling around with random content I have already saved on my devices- and that's a lot of D+D these days. Over the last year, I've juggled four major characters: Rosie, Caoife, Garland, and Apollo. Each of these women have very different personalities and aesthetics, so they're a great case study for building an attractive webpage. Hopefully I'll learn to make and link sub-pages, so they can each have their own spaces to shine. In the meantime, enjoy this one central page of character moodboarding!
Characters are organized in order of when I played them. The navigation bar to the left shows more a detailed organization of pages, as well as some pages that aren't tied to any of these characters. Check the "Site Work" page to learn what I'm doing with the site right now!
Rosie was my first-ever D+D character, and her character arc highlights themes of living with anxiety, overcoming fear, and remaining true to one's sense of faith and purpose, even when it's confusing or overwhelming. Rosie's aesthetic pulls from the 1920s-30s setting of the campaign. Her moodboard features florals (in honor of her name), art deco motifs, and the "modern" sleek metals of the Roaring Twenties.

Rosie's most characteristic look was her Met Gala dress, which she wore to the villain Hugo's election night party at the Met Museum. I made a mood board just for this dress! All the dresses are actual archival pieces from the met's collection.
This session of the campaign happened shortly before the 2024 Met Gala theme was announced. At the time, we had no idea that the actual Met Gala was also going to center around archival and floral evening wear. We were all very satisfied with how serendipitous it ended up being.
Random facts about Rosie:
Caoife
Caoife is my human cleric character from our Waterdeep campaign, and she was my first character to live in a completely traditional D+D environment. While she searches for her missing husband, she's also trying to raise her almost four-year-old son Matz and start a tavern (all while worried that she might be pregnant). Where Rosie was focused on bravery in the face of fear, Caoife hones in on hope as a primary motivator. She serves Lliira, the goddess of joy.
Garland
Garland Tenflower, codename Crescent, is the flippant and secret-filled halfling rogue for my brother's Psordat campaign. She deals a flower-based drug called Scales and does some minor smuggling on the side, which eventually leads to smuggling her cousin Andolin Fareach into the city.
Garland thinks fast but not always smoothly, so she sometimes gets stuck committing to awkward stories for the sake of her reputation.
