Leif's Lantern

The party receives a decrepit old manor as payment for an early mission, and Caoife throws herself into renovating it as a tavern/liveable house. The majority of my aesthetic planning has gone into the tavern, because it's not often that you get to do interior design in D+D!

Caoife designed the tavern with a lantern motif to symbolize leaving a light on for someone who hasn't yet come home. Lanterns appear on the tavern sign, in the tavern name, and in a dedicated memorial corner of the bar where patrons can honor those they've lost, metaphorically or physically. She keeps two large lanterns lit at the front door: one for Leif, the ghost who used to own the building, and one for her husband, who she believes will come home to her as soon as he can.
